To help reduce the potential for wildfires the Auburn Public Cemetery District has contracted with Western Grazers of Red Bluff to let goats loose on their 12.9-Acre parcel on the east side of Collins Drive as you make your way into the cemetery.   A herdsman will be onsite along with livestock guard dogs to help corral the goats within an electric netting fence.  For those who wish to take a closer look at the goats, please take caution and avoid making any contact with the electrical fence, goats and/or dogs.
